Unearthed

In early 2025, we uncovered a rare gem: a genuine 1964 Fender Telecaster, finished in original Sunburst nitro and featuring a rare maple cap neck—a short-lived spec that makes this piece truly exceptional.

With a neck stamp dated August 1964, original CTS wiring, a CRL 3-way switch, and vintage-correct FENDER PAT. PEND. bridge, this guitar carries the marks of decades of music and movement.

But while the DNA was pure, it needed love. The neck was bowed. The frets were tired. So we made a choice—not to flip it, but to honour it.

Respecting the Past

We’re now working with expert luthiers to carefully restore playability while preserving every ounce of vintage integrity.

Planned work includes:

  • Light neck straightening and relief correction
  • Refret with vintage-correct wire, carefully preserving fretboard patina
  • Setup and intonation to original spec
  • Cleaning and conditioning—not polishing away history

🎸We’re documenting each step in photos and video, shared right here as the journey unfolds.
