Jay gained a degree in Music Performance, promoting him to some great opportunities. Playing guitar for both the Blood Brothers & Rocky Horror Show musicals cemented him on a great musical journey. Jay teaches acoustic & electric guitar in a variety of styles and is driven to give students a broad grounding for music whilst pulling out their individual styles

Dom takes pride in helping his students play the music they love, providing a calm environment where people all of ages can learn and have fun at the same time. Not everyone learns the same, so Dom is happy to adapt teaching methods to each individual student.

Andrew Matthews

Guitar Tutor
Having played in bands since the age of 16, Andrew has gained a wealth of experience in performing, recording, touring and songwriting. He plays lead guitar in the critically acclaimed heavy metal act STONEGHOST, which has seen him perform at major international festivals and on TV! He has been teaching for over a decade and given guitar lessons to pupils of all ages & abilities: he is equally comfortable helping demonstrate advanced shred licks as he is with delicate classical finger-picking!

Gareth Hunt

Guitar + Bass Tutor plus resident Guitar Tech
Gareth has a wealth of experience teaching to guitar to a wide age range of pupils. His friendly approach, quickly puts students at ease and helps them develop quickly. As a music events promoter, he has his finger on the pulse of the current music scene. He is also an active member of the Erith Playhouse including their youth department. This constant performing experience helps students develop their performance techniques.

James Cheney

With a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance and Recording and over a decade of experience as a guitar tutor, James brings a strong foundation in music, performance techniques, and effective teaching methodologies. Proficient in guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and mandolin, James possesses a versatile skill set and a proven ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students of all ages and skill levels.

Liam Hutchinson

Liam is a passionate guitarist and tutor currently studying for a Bachelor's in Music Performance and Industry at ACM London. He has experience teaching young musicians in band workshops and performing in stage productions, including The Addams Family. With a dynamic and engaging approach, Liam helps students build confidence, refine their technique, and develop their musicianship in a fun and supportive environment.

Henry is a versatile musician, tutor, and composer with an MMus in Popular Music Performance from ICMP. He has worked with renowned artists like Mike Stock, The Fizz, and Lisa Canny, spanning genres from jazz and rock to pop and hip hop. With years of teaching experience, Henry offers lessons in guitar, bass, music production, theory, and songwriting, tailoring his approach to students of all ages and abilities while inspiring creativity and musical growth.

Will Bidewell

Will has over 25 years music tutoring experience across Bexley and Bromley. Throughout his career he has taught hundreds of pupils of all abilities on classical and electric guitar. Holding a Higher Diploma in Music Performance & Theory, he is a multifaceted musician – expert in guitar, bass & drums. This broad musicianship helps all his students attain their best, as they learn to accompany him as they play.

Joe Booth

Joe graduated from University of Sunderland, studying at Sage Gateshead, with a 2:1 in BMus(hons): Jazz, Popular and Commercial music, specialising in Performance He has performed at Gateshead International Jazz Festival and taking part in a cross pacific video link master class with renowned jazz trumpeter Cecil Bridgewater. This varied experience means that, whether you are an experienced drummer or starting from scratch, Joe’s lessons are sure to push you forwards.

Phoebe Murdoch

Phoebe is an experienced drummer and performer with over 10 years of experience playing for artists across indie, folk, soul, and pop genres. She has performed at renowned venues like the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and festivals such as Truck and the Isle of Wight. With her versatile knowledge and multi-genre expertise, she’s well-equipped to help students achieve their drumming goals.

Cris Finniss

Drum Tutor
As drummer in Rock/Metal group Stoneghost, Cris has toured the UK and beyond, the culmination of their hard work resulting in recognition on Kerrang Radio and Kerrang Magazine. Cris has been teaching since 2016 and brings a fresh enthused approach. “It’s such a rewarding thing to see students come in with little to no experience and over time.” Cris’ students have enjoyed a 100% pass rate with RSL Rockschool and they continue to develop.

Anthony Paine

Drum Tutor
Anthony is an accomplished drummer with over five years of teaching experience and Trinity Guildhall Drum Kit Grades 1–8 (Distinction). He has taught students aged 5–15, focusing on rudiments, Trinity grade pieces, and tailored exercises. As a performer, Anthony has recorded with artists like Rosalie Cunningham and toured internationally, supporting acts such as The Darkness and Placebo. His engaging lessons inspire students to develop their skills and passion for drumming.

Taite Mitchell

Taite is a keyboard player and undergrad at the London College of Contemporary Music. She regularly gigs in a function band and an acoustic duo. With a passion for pop and funk; Taite gives a more modern approach to being a pianist. Bringing fun and creative ways to teaching, Taite tailors lessons to each individual student and is constantly updating them with new information and modern styles.

Andrii Matselyk

Harry James is a multi- genre Piano & Keyboard player from London with 10 years touring, teaching and session playing experience. Harry spent 6 years writing and performing with an international touring band – key achievements included signing a major publishing deal record deal and performing internationally, playing a total of over 250 shows including supporting arenas in the UK.

Ethan Heidel

Ethan Heidel is a skilled keyboardist and teacher, currently in his fourth year at the Royal College of Music. With expertise in classical piano, jazz, and harpsichord, he has extensive experience accompanying musicians and dancers, as well as performing solo at various events. Ethan's passion for teaching shines through in his work with students of all ages and abilities, including those with special educational needs, making him a valuable part of our music school team.

Mainza is a talented musician and former student turned tutor at our music school. Having achieved Grade 7 ABRSM, he brings a deep understanding of music theory and performance. Originally from South Africa, Mainza's international background enriches his teaching approach, blending diverse musical influences. His journey from student to tutor inspires his students, making him a relatable and encouraging mentor for aspiring musicians.

Alfie Weinberg

Alfie is a scholarship violin student at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London. He began learning violin at age 3 and had achieved Grade 8 by the age of 12. As a lifelong musician, he loves nothing more than inspiring new students to improve their musical skills.

Obed Appiah-Darkwa

Obed is a versatile and experienced musician with over 10 yrs of performance expertise. Proficient in piano, drums, bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitar, he also holds formal qualifications in saxophone and tenor horn. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Obed has taught students aged 6-28, tailoring lessons to individual goals. His strong analytical skills and experience as an audio engineer further enhance his teaching approach, making him a reliable + inspiring tutor at our music school.

Maria is a skilled pianist pursuing a BMus in Music Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and holds a diploma from The St. Petersburg College of Music. Experienced in classical and contemporary repertoire, Maria tailors her lessons to each student’s needs, creating a fun and positive learning environment. She also enjoys organizing recitals to build confidence and showcase progress.
